A MIKE'S ROOM...?

So... who are these guys, anyway!?!

The Mike Trio was first introduced in a secret boss battle in DELTARUNE Chapter 4. They are ordinary Darkners from TV World that take turns impersonating "Mike", Tenna's unseen assistant whose existence is still a mystery.

Initially I wasn't particularly interested in the Mikes, (I was more of a Spamtenna head at the time of ch.3+4's release, you know how it is) but when I witnessed the rapidly growing fanbase surrounding the trio I grew fond of the three.
...Mostly to the green one, really. He features a lot in Spamtenna fanworks too. (but this isn't about them)

My thoughts on each Mike. Tread with caution.

• "Battat"

  • He might seem like a selfish and bossy jerk, but don't worry! ...
  • I think besides these two character traits (+ being a tsundere) he acts well as a blank slate for projecting whatever you'd like onto him for character exploration, which really appeals to me. I might elaborate on this in the future...
  • Somehow the collective thirst was enough for there to be a line in Ch.5 where you're indirectly called a total sicko for wanting a pet on the head from him (it's a compliment)
  • This is my favorite sprite of his because he looks like a specimen under a microscope slide. He's the only pippins that makes this fish-eyed expression. i love it.

• "Jongler"

  • My favorite Mike personality wise.
  • Also has the best minigame (i have Jongler Platinum )
  • Their boke/tsukkomi dynamic with Battat is just the cutest.
  • I like thinking of them as the "glue" that keeps the three of them together... it's probably not true, but it's cute.

• Pluey

  • While he's not my diehard fav, I like that he's Tenna's preferred Mike and seems to be well-liked just for being himself (other than by Battat)
  • I was also fond of the old headcanon of him being a fully mute Shadowguy, though it's been debunked.
  • Pluey loves Kikky and Kikky loves Pluey.
  • I really want to see him and Pink interact...
